About Bharuch City Bharuch also called Broach historically Bharukaccha or Bhrgukaccha city southeastern Gujarat state west-central India. It lies along the Narmada River near the Gulf of Khambhat (Cambay) of the Arabian Sea.
It is the 2nd oldest ancient city of India after Varanasi. Bharuch was one of the most-celebrated harbours in ancient India being mentioned in the Periplus Maris Erythraei (c. 80 CE) and by Ptolemy as Barygaza. It also occurs in the Hindu epic poem Mahabharata.
Bharuch is a commercial and industrial centre with a substantial cotton industry as well as hand-loom weaving and ink and glass manufacturing. The city exports cotton wheat tiles pulses and firewood. It is served by railroads and is on a national highway. The cultivation of cotton millet rice and wheat is the major economic activity in the surrounding area augmented by forests in the east and salt pans along the coast.

Prize Money Rules:
The prize money applies to Indian participants only.The fastest winners will not be eligible for prizes in any age category.Overall Winners are not eligible for any age category trophy or prize.All winners will be announced on our website and on our Social Media Channels 7 working days post the event after verification of the document. They will be provided with their winner’s prizes 45 days from the finish of the event. Prize winners declared may be required to submit further proof of identity/age as may be required by the organizer for the cash prize which the Event Promoter may at its sole discretion withhold disbursement or disqualify the said participant from the competition. All prizes are subjected to taxation, providing age proof and completion of necessary formalities.On Investigation, If the runners are found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others, will not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable). Such runners shall also be disqualified from future competitions. Any claims made post - 30 September 2024 stand nullified.

Protests and Appeals 
1.   Any confirmed runner of the Rockwool Bharuch Half Marathon 2024 can lodge a protest in relation to the official race results in relation to the age category finish positions declared after the race. 
2.   The Protest email must be sent to the yateeevents@gmail.com
3.   Only the protest email received on or before 30 September 2024 will be entertained. A jury shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the Protest within 7 working days of receiving the Protest Letter. 
4.   The decision will be intimated to the person lodging the protest and shall be featured on the event website, where in favourable. Decision of the Event Organizer shall be final and binding on all. 
5.   Timing results: Where the timing result of an runner with respect to his/her gender and/or age, is required to be updated online, the runner needs to write, no later than 30 September 2024 at yateeevents@gmail.com, specifying the nature of edit required and attaching the relevant proof of change. Requests received after 30 September 2024 will not be entertained.
Entry Rules & Regulations   Please thoroughly go through all information mentioned in this form prior to submitting your application. Registration confirmation received will be subject to applicable confirmation criteria and the entry rules given herein.Participants can register only via online using this registration link and paying applicable entry fees based on race category opted for. No individual/group has been authorized to collect entries on behalf of the event organizer Bharuch Running Club.Once you register online your details cannot be changed. For any corrections please email at bharuchrunningclub@gmail.comParticipants must register on or before the closing date of the registration no new entry will be accepted post 15th September 2024.Registration fees shall not be refunded by virtue of non-participation including failure by a confirmed participant to collect his/her bib from the Expo or not allowed to run on the race day due to high temperature or being unwell.Please save the confirmation email received after registration as a reference for future communications.Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or timing bib tag with another individual will be disqualified from the event and shall not be allowed to apply or participate in the subsequent edition of the event.Please note if you don't wear your timing bib tag as instructed you won't be able to get an official finish time and thereby the official Certificate recording your finish times. No bib tag – No Timing – No Prize.No vehicles are allowed on the course. Anyone bringing wheeled vehicles will be disqualified from the race; you will be asked to leave the course.Only those confirmed participants wearing the running number bibs will be allowed on the route. Any person found wearing the incorrect bib or no bib will be disqualified and removed by the course security.Further every runner must wear his/her running number bib on the front of the vest. Any mutilation fold alteration or damage to the bib will amount to disqualification of the runner from the event.Organizers reserve the right to stop any participant from participating who is found medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the medical personnel.Baggage counters are available for all participants. It is strongly recommended that you do not leave valuables like mobile phone camera jewellery watch electronic gadgets etc. in the bag stored. Organizers are not responsible for any loss of baggage and/or its belongingsParticipants are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel deputed at the event venue and on the route. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on race day – this is for your own security.The right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the applicant under this application form is at the sole discretion of the Event Organizing team and cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances and the applicant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising hereunder.Any race day audio video or visual recordings made by a participant at the Bharuch Half Marathon 2024 BIB Expo or on race day are to be used only for personal purposes; these cannot be used for any commercial purpose.The rules listed are subject to change as per the discretion of the Event Heads and the Organizing Committee. Refund Policy   While we will never cancel an event because of weather or environmental conditions conditions may necessitate a postponement to a later date. In the event of a postponement we will work with our local partners and the local authorities to secure a make-up date. Your registration will automatically transfer to the new date. If the participant is unable to attend the make-up date a 50% refund of the registration Fees will be made.   Registration fees shall not be refunded by virtue of non-participation including failure by a confirmed participant to collect his/her bib from the Expo or not allowed to run on the race day due to high temperature or being unwell.   Disclaimer   I am voluntarily participating at Bharuch Half Marathon 2024 with complete knowledge of the associated risks and I agree to accept responsibility for all risks of injury. By signing this Waiver and Release I declare that I am medically able properly trained physically fit and capable of participating in a race and that my medical care provider has approved my participation. I agree to independently consult my physician in the event of any injuries or medical questions arising from or related to my participation in the Bharuch Half Marathon 2024. I also acknowledge full and sole responsibility for my own medical expenses and that I am responsible for any and all medical expenses on my behalf. In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Bharuch Half Marathon 2024. I agree to assume all risks and to release and hold harmless to the Bharuch Half Marathon 2024 Team. I understand and agree that this Waiver and Release is binding upon our heirs assigns and legal representatives. I hereby grant my consent and permission to Bharuch Half Marathon 2024 its Partner organizations and employees to use any and all information submitted in my application and/or my name photograph videotape motion picture recording voice or likeness for any purpose including pre-race and post-race publicity..
